UEN Network / Backbone Maintenance Schedule for 11PM tonight

August 13, 2009 – 12:38 pm

Last night, Utah Educational Network (UEN) identified an issue occurring on the backbone which is causing a couple of the main backbone routers CPU to be abnormally high. As a result, UEN will be performing rolling reloads of selected backbone devices to remedy the issue.

This maintenance is scheduled this evening at 11:00pm
This maintenance may occur earlier if we notice the backbone or traffic is been impacted.

Expected Impact is minimal. There may be localized momentary issues at sites throughout the state, including Utah State University. Detectable slowness during some of the reboots may be noticed by all UEN customers.

This maintenance will be performed by the greater Network Engineering and Operations groups at UEN.
