Corrected Proceedings

September 8, 2008 – 11:36 am

There was a slight error in this years’ ADW proceedings. An incorrect abstract and title was included for the presentation by Dibaj and Lahouti. The corrected proceedings are attached to this post. Corrected ADW Proceedings

    ADW Proceedings

    July 8, 2008 – 4:11 pm

The ADW Proceedings are now available as a pdf document.

    Workshop Venue

    July 3, 2008 – 11:22 am

The 2008 ADW will take place in room 326 of the main Engineering building (ENGR — see the USU Campus Map). Directions to the ENGR building from the University Inn: Exit the Inn through the main lobby doors. You will be facing east. Walk directly forward (east), and go past the “french fries”:

    French Fries

After the French Fries, continue east until you see a sign for the “Merrill Cazier Library.” Turn right just after the sign. As you walk in front of the library, you should see the ENGR building to your left:

    Presentation Format

    July 1, 2008 – 11:34 am

Each speaker at ADW will be given 20 minutes to present and 5 to 10 minutes for questions. The workshop room is equipped with a projector and computer. The computer can display slides in PowerPoint or PDF formats. Speakers may also use their own laptops for presentations. The projector requires a standard analog VGA monitor connection.

    Hotel Accomodations

    June 30, 2008 – 11:11 am

For most workshop participants, the most convenient hotel option is USU’s University Inn. A block of rooms is reserved at the conference rate of $69 per night, for arrival on the night of the 11th. The block is reserved for a single night, but attendees can reserve an additional night at the same rate if they desire. This special room rate will expire after the 4th of July. When reserving a room, guests need to state that they are with the “Analog Decoding Workshop” group to get the conference rate.

    University Inn Contact Information:

The Inn provides guests with a parking permit for the Terrace Parking Garage adjacent to the Inn.

    Airport Shuttle Information

    June 30, 2008 – 10:57 am

After arriving at the Salt Lake City International Airport, workshop participants should arrange transportation to Logan through one of the airport shuttle services. There are two main airport shuttle service providers:

The Salt Lake Express shuttle offers roundtrip service between the Salt Lake Airport and the University Inn. They offer three daily shuttles. The scheduled shuttle times are:

    •  8:15 AM (arrive 10:05 AM).
    • 2:15 PM (arrive 4:05 PM).
    • 8:15 PM (arrive 10:05 PM).

Cache Valley Limo offers roundtrip service from the airport to any location in the valley, and will work around the traveler’s schedule.  Upon request, they also offer one-way service from the airport to the Cache Valley Mall for $28, but this rate is not advertised, and must be requested explicitly.

A local taxi service, Logan Taxi, provides local transportation around the Logan area.  A trip from the Cache Valley Mall to the University Inn costs approximately $6.  The phone number for Logan Taxi is (435) 753-3663. Logan Taxi will also pick travelers up at the airport, but the cost is $135 one way.

If you are driving yourself to Logan, a map from the SLC airport to USU campus can be found at http://conference.usu.edu/files/uploads/SLCtoLogan.pdf

    Call for Papers Announced
